Saints vs Vikings

Saints vs Vikings: In one of the year’s most highly-anticipated games, the Minnesota Vikings host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football in a rematch of last season’s unforgettable playoff game. Kickoff from U.S. Bank Stadium is at 8:20 p.m. ET.

New Orleans was on the verge of making the NFC title game last year when Case Keenumhooked up with Stefon Diggs on a miracle touchdown as time expired, with Minnesota advancing 29-24. Now riding a five-game win streak, the revenge-minded Saints return as 1-point underdogs. The Over-Under, or total number of points Vegas thinks will be scored, is 53 in the latest Saints vs. Vikings odds. Before you make any Saints vs. Vikings picks, see what Las Vegas SuperContest guru R.J. White has to say.

CBS Sports’ NFL editor, White has cashed huge in the SuperContest — the world’s most prestigious handicapping competition — twice in the past three years. Anyone who followed his NFL plays on SportsLine last season won nearly $2,000.

And he has an eerie feel for the Vikings: In his last 24 spread picks involving Minnesota, White has been right 19 times — a stunning 79 percent cash rate. Anyone who has followed him is way, way up.

Now, White has broken down Vikings vs. Saints from every angle and locked in a strong pick. He’s sharing it over at SportsLine.

White knows the Saints (5-1) have covered four straight games overall, not to mention 17 of their last 22 on the road. They rank second in scoring (34.0 ppg) thanks to a balanced attack led by Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram and Michael Thomas.

At age 39, Brees is playing as well as he ever has, accounting for 15 touchdowns and no turnovers through six games.

But just because the Saints are rolling doesn’t mean they’ll go into Minnesota and beat a Vikings team that’s more explosive than the one they lost to in the playoffs.

New quarterback Kirk Cousins has proven to be a major upgrade from Keenum: He’s completing 70 percent of his throws while averaging 309 passing yards per game with 14 TDs against three INTs. Wideout Adam Thielen leads the NFL in catches (67) and yards (822), and he ranks seventh in TD grabs (5).

Minnesota’s defense remains well above-average and nearly impenetrable against the run. The Vikings allow 3.7 yards per carry (fourth lowest). Moreover, they are typically a solid home bet at home under head coach Mike Zimmer, going 25-11 against the spread.

We can tell you White is leaning Over the total, but his much stronger play is on the spread. He’s unearthed an eye-popping stat that has him backing one side with confidence. He’s sharing what it is, and who to back, only at SportsLine.

Jets vs Bears

Jets vs Bears: New York Jets vs. Bears Week 8 2018, Predictions, Latest Odds. I’ve gotta be honest here folks. I don’t feel great about this one. It just feels way too much like one of those classic Jets games where everything leading up to it makes you feel like the Jets are gonna lose and then they go ahead and get absolutely demolished and exceed your wildest nightmares. I’m sorry but it’s true.

I don’t know. There are a few scenarios I can think of where the Jets win this one, but with all the injuries adding up, it’s gonna take some outstanding performances from guys who haven’t done a ton all season.

I already kinda feel like an ass for starting off so pessimistic. I just needed to get that all off my chest so I can move on to trying to sound positive. The Bears aren’t a perfect team. There will be opportunities for the Jets to take control of this game. We just don’t know if the Jets are good enough to actually do it.

Watch Jets vs Bears Live Online Free Hd Tv

We know they have Khalil Mack but he’s also hurt and listed as questionable. He’s obviously the best player on the field every time he steps on one. It would be a good thing if he didn’t play.

We know Mitch Trubisky is the Quarterback. He’s not that good. He’s athletic and can make some plays, but he can also be taken advantage of. The Jets haven’t done a good job containing scrambling QBs at all in 2018, and Trubisky is definitely someone who can take advantage of this if given opportunities to do so.

It’s cold in Chicago. We also know that. It’s gonna probably be cold on Sunday. Sam Darnold might not like playing in the cold. Most QBs don’t. Sunday’s gonna be a great opportunity for Isaiah Crowell to prove he’s healthy again and capable of getting the offense back on track. I’m not saying it’s a great matchup for him, but the offense needs him to have a big game badly.

That’s how it’s been all year. 10 TDs and 10 INTs. It’s a classic rookie up and down. I will say I think Darnold has done a good job learning from his mistakes. He’s gotten more and more comfortable dealing with all the different, new looks NFL defensive coordinators will throw at you. So although I’m not gonna sit here and guarantee Sam Darnold is gonna stop making silly mistakes, I do think they’re gonna come less and less.

Here’s what’s holding me back from thinking he can take a big step forward this week: Most of his best weapons are out or dealing with injuries. Robby Anderson is doubtful. Quincy Enunwa is still out. Powell is done for the season. Crowell is still banged up. I just don’t know if there’s enough talent around him to scare the defense away from doing everything they can to mess with Darnold. If the Jets can’t establish the run at all on Sunday, I think it’ll end up being a long day for Sam Darnold and ultimately the entire offense.

They also need to block Khalil Mack if he plays. I know a few teams have tried that this year and had some success. So maybe the Jets should give it a try. I guess we’ll see.
Still a scary looking list. Robby being out is big and yes I’m taking the doubtful as out. Still no Trumaine Johnson and it sounds like Morris Claiborne is gonna be playing with a few things bothering him, so that’s not exactly great either.

I suppose the good thing is Buster Skrine cleared concussion protocol and should be good to go Sunday. The only problem with that is it sets up perfectly for Buster Skrine to get exposed by some mediocre Bears’ receiver. Maybe he’ll surprise me.

I’m a little confused by what I’m feeling right now. I don’t think I can pick the Jets. On one hand, it once again proves that up until Week 8 every time I’ve picked the Jets at least a part of me has believed it. I honestly thought I could go all season picking the Jets, but I guess every dream has to come to an end…

Actually, fuck that. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; believe in the Jets or get the fuck out of the kitchen. I’m saying that to myself, not you. That’s the only way I know how to live.

Darnold throws for 3 TDs and Mitch Trubisky runs around but ultimately comes up short. Herndon makes some more plays and Daryl Roberts comes up with a big INT. This is all happening so fast.

Broncos vs Chiefs

Broncos vs Chiefs : The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos renew their rivalry this week at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, and to say these two teams are in completely different places at the moment would be a significant understatement.

Broncos vs Chiefs Live ONline Free HD

Both teams are coming off 45-10 victories, with the Chiefs knocking off the Bengals on Sunday Night Football in Week 7 and the Broncos defeating the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday. But while the Chiefs at 6-1 are a team focused on building on their early season success without any surrounding drama, the 3-4 Broncos have had a much more eventful week. Aside from trade speculation regarding key players such as Demaryius Thomas, the Broncos have also had to deal with the fallout from a Halloween party thrown by linebacker Von Miller, which included some hyperbolic exposure from TMZ and on a much more serious level the arrest of backup quarterback Chad Kelly for criminal trespassing, which resulted in his release.

The Broncos have not played very well this season, yet here they are entering a Week 8 divisional matchup with the surging Chiefs with a chance to get to .500 at 4-4. The Broncos played them close the first time the two teams played in Denver in Week 4, falling 27-23. Meanwhile, the Chiefs keep rolling along with their superpower offense leading them to a 6-1 season with the only loss coming on a last-second field goal against the almighty Patriots. With the way both teams are headed, this one has the makings for a Kansas City blowout win.

How to Watch Broncos vs. Chiefs: Week 8

While Denver has enough issues on the field, this week the off the field drama took over the headlines. Chad Kelly was released Wednesday the day after he was arrested for trespassing in what was a bizarre story. In a year where Kelly had the chance to get to start with the struggles of Case Keenum, it’s some poor decision making by the young QB. Keenum will continue to lead the Broncos offense, which played well and mixed things up in their 45-10 win over the awful Cardinals last week.

Emmanuel Sanders has been the true No. 1 receiver for Keenum with Demaryius Thomas basically taking a back seat. Sanders even threw for a TD on a trick play last week that worked beautifully. Their defense was the story though in the win, scoring multiple touchdowns and making Josh Rosen’s night a disaster. Their defense goes against the polar opposite in the unstoppable Chiefs offense. The Broncos defense came into the season highly-touted, but have been a letdown.

If you don’t like watching the Chiefs offense, well you don’t like football. They use so many different plays that you just can’t predict, scoring at will on their opponents. Patrick Mahomes is well on his way to MVP votes with his play. Kareem Hunt has quietly been right there as the best RB in the league behind Todd Gurley. Everything is working with this Chiefs attack and it’s making 2018 feel like the ‘offense wins championships’ kind of year. There are just so many talented playmakers in Hunt and Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt and Sammy Watkins.

It will be intriguing to find out just how long it will last and if they can keep scoring 40 on teams at will over the course of 16 games. If that’s the case out, watch out. The demise of the Chiefs, which clearly has not hurt them too much at all in their 6-1 start has been their defense, which has statistically been one of the worst in the NFL. They changed that tune last week against Andy Dalton and the Bengals, giving up just 10 points. They have a chance to keep the D rolling against by putting some pressure on Keenum and the Broncos.

Unfortunately, the Browns did not tweet out any information about which uniforms they will wear this week. Orange for Halloween would be nice, no?

QB Baker Mayfield – His 1,090 passing yards are the most by a Brown in their first four career starts.

DE Myles Garrett – Garrett’s seven sacks are the most by a Brown through the first seven weeks of a season and his 14 career sacks are the fourth-most sacks by a Brown in their first two seasons.

A rushing score by any Brown will give the team 10 on the year and will be the most by a Browns team through the first eight games of a season since 1974 (10).

With another successful two-point conversion, the 2018 Browns would set the franchise record for most in a single season (five).

Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley spent the previous six seasons in the same role with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Haley led the Steelers’ offensive efforts to three divisional championships and four playoff berths. He also helped guide multiple offensive players to Pro Bowl selections. In 2017, six Steelers on the offensive side of the ball made the Pro Bowl, a league best.

Browns special teams coordinator Amos Jones was a member of the Steelers’ staff from 2007-12 and helped WR Antonio Brown earn a Pro Bowl selection as a returner in 2011. He also won a Super Bowl with the Steelers (XLIII). Jones also served as kicking game coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh in 1992.

Dee and Jimmy Haslam were part owners of the Steelers from 2008-12.

Browns OL Chris Hubbard was a Steeler from 2013-17. He played in 40 career games for Pittsburgh, including six playoff contests.

Steelers DB Joe Haden was originally drafted by the Browns in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Haden was selected to two Pro Bowls as a Brown.

Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler coached the Browns linebackers from 1999-02.

Steelers LB L.J. Fort was originally signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He appeared in all 16 games with one start during his rookie season in Cleveland.

Steelers assistant head coach/DL coach John Mitchell spent three seasons (1991-93) in Cleveland as an assistant coach.

Steelers OL Zach Banner played in eight games for the Browns last season.

The Browns have a 58-72-1 all-time record against the Steelers.

The last time these two teams met was on September 9, 2018, in Week 1 at FirstEnergy Stadium, when the game finished in a 21-21 tie. The Browns were down 21-7 in the fourth quarter, but defensive pressure and timely offense by Cleveland got a late tie. Zane Gonzalez game-winning field goal attempt in overtime was blocked, cementing the tie.

Cardinals vs 49ers

San Francisco will head into today’s game with a slew of injuries. Starting wide receiver Pierre Garçon is expected to be out with a knee issue, while center Weston Richburg is listed as questionable following the practice he sat out on Friday. The team have also listed running back Matt Breida and cornerback Richard Sherman as questionable.

All this comes on the heels of the 49ers losing their centerpiece running back, Jerick McKinnon, to a season-ending knee injury, and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who sustained a season-ending knee injury as well. Despite these setbacks, head coach Kyle Shanahan is optimistic, and told NBC Sports the that he plans on anointing team captains soon.

Last year I wanted to do it halfway through, and as we got there, I didn’t think our team was ready to vote on that,” said Shanahan. “There weren’t guys who established themselves. I wanted it to be for the right reason, and not just a popularity vote. I went into this year thinking the same thing. I thought about doing it at the beginning of the year. We had some established guys, but things change.”

Shanahan also spoke on the team’s rocky 1-6 start. ““Losing is tough, and it’s human nature, no matter how hard you work, when you’re not getting the results, people want to blame other people,” he explained. “And I do think we have the right type of guys here, where, yeah, people can feel that way for a second, because I think most humans do. But what can you control?”

Arizona head coach Steve Wilks has also voiced his concern over the team’s struggling offense. “Am I concerned? Majorly,” he told ESPN. “We need to correct it. We need to find ways to get into the end zone and we need to get it corrected soon. We have to find answers. Again, I would tell you execution.”

Packers vs Rams

Packers vs Rams : The Los Angeles Rams will attempt to remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL when they host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET. The Rams are looking to stay sharp as they begin a tough stretch against NFC opponents, while the Packers need a win in their quest to keep pace with the Vikings in the NFC North.

Click Here To Watch This Stream Free

Green Bay comes off a bye week, while Los Angeles returns home following a three-game road trip in which two of its three wins were decided by three points or fewer. The Rams are nine-point favorites and the over-under for total points scored is 56.5 in the latest Packers vs. Rams odds. Before you make any Packers vs. Rams picks, listen to what SportsLine expert R.J. White has to say.

White was SportsLine’s most profitable NFL analyst last season and returned $100 bettors a profit of nearly $2,000. The renowned prognosticator has cashed big in two of the last three prestigious Las Vegas SuperContests and now turns his eye toward Sunday’s game.

White has a strong history of success in handicapping these teams as well, which includes an unheard-of 34-7 mark in against the spread picks involving the Packers or Rams.

Three weeks ago, White advised SportsLine members that the Rams were in for a fight from the rebuilding Seahawks, so he recommended backing Seattle as a 7.5-point home underdog. The result: the Rams pulled out a tight 33-31 victory, and anyone who followed White’s advice booked another easy winner.

Now, he has scrutinized Packers vs. Rams from every possible angle to reveal a strong point-spread pick that he’s only sharing at SportsLine.

White knows the Packers will be motivated to pull off a signature win to help ignite what has been an uneven season thus far. A win combined with a loss by the Vikings would put Green Bay in first place in the NFC North.

But the Packers are well aware that they are just a couple plays away from being practically eliminated from the NFL playoff race. They had to overcome a 20-point deficit in Week 1 to edge the Bears and, in their last game, were outplayed most of the way by the short-handed 49ers. Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to 10 points in the final 1:05 for a 33-30 victory.

Green Bay (3-2-1) has covered the last five meetings in this series, but that doesn’t mean it is destined to make it six straight against a Los Angeles club that is the odds-on 2019 Super Bowl favorite.

The Rams (7-0) already have withstood several serious tests, beating the Vikings and Chargers by 19 combined points. They also showed poise in difficult road environments to overcome inspired performances by Seattle and Denver for narrow victories.

The Rams rank fourth in scoring defense (18.3 ppg) and have the NFL’s second-ranked offense with 446.4 yards per game. Their scoring offense (33.6 ppg) is third in the league.

We can tell you White is leaning toward the Over, but his much stronger play is on the side. White has scrutinized this matchup from every angle, crunched the stats, and found a crucial X-factor that causes one side of the spread to hit hard. It’s only available at SportsLine.

Who covers in Packers vs. Rams? And what crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a must-back? Visit SportsLine right now to see which side you need to jump on Sunday, all from the top NFL analyst who’s hitting an astounding 83 percent of his picks involving these teams, and find out.

Seahawks vs Lions

Seahawks vs Lions : The Seattle Seahawks are looking to exit Week 8 with a winning record by defeating the Detroit Lions. The Seattle Seahawks are 3-3 going into Week 8 and are facing the 3-3 Detroit Lions. This is a big game for the Seahawks because it offers them a chance to have a winning record and this is one of the games the team should win. I’d argue they need to win this game since they still have a number of more challenging matchups this season.

Seahawks vs Lions Live On Free

The Seahawks are coming off of their bye week, while the Lions are on a two-game winning streak. The team’s last loss came against the Dallas Cowboys, who the Seahawks beat earlier this year. The last two games Seattle played were by far their best. Both teams seem to be hitting their strides so this will be a great matchup.

This should be a good one on Sunday, but here are three bold predictions for the Seahawks in this Week 8 contest.

If Doug Baldwin plays on Sunday, Lockett will be set up with a perfect opportunity to have a big game. Baldwin has been banged up all season long and only started to look like himself again in Week 6. Hopefully the bye week did him some good and now he’s fully in Pro Bowl form again.

If that is indeed the case, he’ll draw Darius Slay in coverage. Slay led the league in interceptions last season with eight and was a First Team All-Pro. Baldwin is good enough that the Seahawks should line him up against Slay and try to isolate the speedy Lockett against an inferior corner.

Lockett has already had a couple of big plays this year. He benefitted from the time that Baldwin missed and got to first team reps to start the season. If he finishes the season on his current pace, 60 receiving yards per game, he’ll set a personal best. He’s also on pace for a new personal best in receptions and receiving touchdowns.

Lockett’s game is beginning to flourish at just the right time and the Seahawks need to utilize that against opponents like the Lions, especially because Baldwin will be drawing priority coverages.

Bengals vs Buccaneers

Bengals vs Buccaneers : At first glance, the Cincinnati Bengals shouldn’t have a problem against the visiting 3-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But it’s never so simple and those Bengals happen to be just 4-3. Not only have they dropped two in a row, a couple of the marks in the win column only happened because of late-game heroics.

Bengals vs Buccaneers Live FRee Tv

Even so, those details above wouldn’t skew the outlook too much against a struggling Buccaneers team that needed a weird outburst from Ryan Fitzpatrick to even reach .500.

But now we have to add in the injuries – and the Bengals will miss the following guys Sunday:

Miserable coaching from the offensive staff has had the Bengals looking lost the past few weeks. The lack of Giovani Bernard to spell Joe Mixon is a red flag. Missing Tyler Kroft’s reliable hands and John Ross’ defensive-shifting speed will limit chances for other weapons.

And defensively, the Bengals missing their top two linebackers is something the Buccaneers can and will exploit with the talented tight end duo of O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate.

Speaking of game planning, the lack of Dennard is a major red flag for the Bengals as well. Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson on the outside will keep William Jackson and Dre Kirkpatrick busy, for better or worse, and the lack of Dennard will help Tampa Bay create mismatches at will.

Not only are the Bengals down key players, they have a major tackling issue and the normally elite defensive line has hardly generated pressure over the past two weeks. That lack of pressure is what caused coaches to call an all-out blitz on Pittsburgh’s game-winning score two weeks ago.

This isn’t saying the Bengals are going to lose, but any idea this is an easy game for the home team is severely misguided. And keep in mind if they were to lose, they would be .500 and Marvin Lewis teams are terrible out of the bye – just in time for a Week 10 showdown against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.

In other words, Sunday is a must-win trap game. Whether the Bengals can pull it off might decide the season.

Ravens vs Panthers

The Carolina Panthers own an eight-game home winning streak, going 6-2 against the spread in the process. The Baltimore Ravens, meanwhile, are 6-0 both SU and ATS in its last six games after an outright loss. So something’s going to give when the Ravens battle the Panthers on Sunday afternoon in Charlotte.

Baltimore is looking to rebound this week from a tough 24-23 loss at home to New Orleans in Week 7. The Ravens led the Saints at the half 10-7 and 17-7 through nearly three quarters but then fell down 24-17. Baltimore then drove 81 yards to a touchdown with 24 seconds to go only to see the great Justin Tucker miss the extra point, sending the Ravens to a most disheartening defeat.

On the afternoon, Baltimore outgained New Orleans 351-339. The Ravens just fell victim to Drew Brees and a little bad luck. Baltimore has outgained six of its seven opponents this season and outrushed three of its past four foes.

After falling at Washington in Week 6, Carolina pulled off a rebound last time out, coming from behind to beat the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles in Philadelphia 21-17. The Panthers trailed the Eagles 10-0 at the half and 17-0 into the fourth quarter but then drove 80, 87 and 69 yards to touchdowns on three straight possessions for the lead. Carolina then secured the outright victory as five-point dogs with a defensive stand in its own red zone in the final minute.

Although the stats were a bit skewed because Carolina played catch-up, the Panthers ended up outgaining Philadelphia 371-342 and outrushing the Eagles 121-58. They also hit three-of-three on red-zone touchdown conversions.

Carolina has now outrushed four of six opponents this season. Not coincidentally, the Panthers are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS in those games.

Carolina is coming off a rousing come-from-behind victory in Week 7, while Baltimore just blew a game it should have won, or at least taken to overtime. But the NFL is a topsy-turvy place, and reversals of fortune occur every week. This game seems like a good candidate to produce one. Smart money here rides the Ravens.

The total has gone OVER in the Ravens’ past three games against the Panthers.

The total has gone OVER in five of the Panthers’ past seven games at home.

The Ravens are 5-1 SU and ATS in their past six games in the early afternoon.

Philadelphia are the defending NFL champs and have struggled to a 3-4 record in 2018 thus far. Last week was emblematic of how their season has gone.

With a commanding 17-point lead at home against the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles offense and defense decided to shutdown in the second half and let the Panthers score 21 unanswered to steal a win. That simply cannot happen for a team expected to not only make the postseason but content for the NFC.

Jacksonville, who shares Philly’s 3-4 record, reached the AFC Championship game last season. This year started hot at 3-1, but since the Jags have dropped three in a row.

Part of the issue for Jacksonville is the play of Blake Bortles. The loss of running back Leonard Fournette has put extra pressure on Bortles to throw, and he’s done a lousy job of it. The addition of former Browns running back Carlos Hyde should help pick up the running game.
